I visited the Office of Paul Sahre (aka O.O.P.S.) in 2006 during a design studio tour organized by my school. Before the visit was cut short by his puppy, who left a smelly gift for us all in the middle of the studio, Paul showed us his book cover designs and some of his posters. The posters were screenprinted by himself right there in his Manhattan studio (which happens to be right above the studio of design duo Karlssonwilker). I hadn’t been familiar with his name at the time, but I immediately recognized nearly every book cover he showed us.

AIGA New York is hosting a talk by Paul Sahre called The Designer and His Problems, on February 6th at FIT.
